Luc Peire en Roland De Brock
16.12.2024 – 09.06.2025
As a construction coordinator by profession, Roland De Brock met Luc Peire in Knokke in 1957. Beyond their shared interest in art, Luc and Roland, along with their wives Jenny and Jacqueline, maintained close friendships. Together with his wife Jacqueline Pauwels, Roland De Brock founded the Exagon gallery in Knokke. He not only followed Luc Peire’s work but also actively supported him.
In the 1960s, Roland De Brock took on the coordination of the expansion works for the studio at 64 Judestraat, located in the old village center of Knokke-Heist.
Years after Peire’s death in 1994, the Jenny and Luc Peire Foundation was established, with Roland De Brock as its first chairman – a fitting tribute to his dedication and support for Peire. He passed away on August 22, 2012. Linear. Luc Peire and Roland De Brock tells the exceptional story of a unique friendship between an artist and a collector.
The Peiremuzee is part of Mu.ZEE and the Permekemuseum. Together, they represent Belgian art from 1880 to today.
