In the Ensoriades, musicians from Ostend-based social-artistic practice kleinVerhaal collaborated with the renowned HERMESensemble, Drift Records and Mu.ZEE.
Inspired by Ensor’s still lifes, they have created a diverse musical accompaniment, ranging from catchy songs to exciting soundscapes that can be heard with the artworks. A surprising musical tour through the exhibition, they present a bold mix of contemporary and classical influences, characteristically Ensorian.
This project is part of Ensor 2024, the multi-faceted city festival featuring numerous exhibitions and high-profile events to mark the 75th anniversary of the death of artist James Ensor.
