FULLHOUSE COLLECTION
Works by more than eighty artists in an open scenography spread over several floors: this is FULLHOUSE COLLECTION. The familiar chronology is abandoned and shows artworks from different contexts and times - from around 1880 to today. In each room, you get to see an ensemble of artworks, brought together from a shared interest or theme. From James Ensor to Anne Veronica Janssens, from Elen Braga to Pierre Alechinsky, from Katja Mater to Marcel Broodthaers! The artworks click or clash: they complement each other or point to opposing attitudes. Together, they tell more than what they reveal individually.
FULLHOUSE COLLECTION focuses on surprises, peculiarities, new voices are juxtaposed with known and more familiar artworks. It will be a mix of resounding names and artists to be discovered. In this way, the museum space unfolds as a place full of surprises!
Make a note of 29 June, when The Longest Day will take place in cooperation with KAAP: a day full of performances that will unfold as one big 'happening' between the two cultural houses and the public space in between! From sunrise to sunset! For more info click here
